I turned a dead tree into this epic mountain bike jump with my chainsaw and it has a secret built-in that makes this jump perfect for beginners or advanced riders. Using my Granberg Alaskan Mill I sliced up a fallen tree, then cut the lumber to the correct size and began constructing this mega backyard kicker. It was so big that I had to add wheelbarrow wheels to it so I could roll it around th...

The new rollers were all built with dirt usi...

Most IMPORTANT part of building a MTB trail!

Some sections of my trail were a little dull and lifeless, but with a makeover, they become fast and playful and some of the most exciting sections. Each episode ...

Probably but it's overly complicated because of the limits of pallet wood. I'm actually editing a new video at the moment that I think will be perfect for you. It shows how to make the perfect size jump at any size using store bought wood. I'll have plans you can download as well.

At 11:33 - Jump looks too steep. Mellow that out and the landing will be smoother because you won't be dropping out of the sky as much. Then, since the jump is more mellow, you can simply add length to the landing without having to steepen it.

Rule 1 of gap building is build the gap to suit the natural flow and speed of the track. Move the landing back rather than correcting speed at take off. Also landing transitions to uphill are a disaster waiting to happen, Great content though👍🤘

Many years ago I watched a Vid of some epic mountain trail ride with sick wood ramps and gap jumps ... then in the making of the vid - they'd built the wood trail sections as a complete bridge-raised section - then ridden them and seen where they land - then cut the unused section out and filmed the vid.

I come from a motox background and have done 100 foot jumps that being said as soon as you make a jump a gap jump psychologically it becomes massive. 12 feet is 12 feet weather gap or table top. What you built I don’t think I would do it. Well not right away. Great building skills anyway 👍
